DB team going to India soon

A three-member detective team is going to India in a day or two as part of their investigation into the murder of lawmaker Anwarul Azim Anar.
DMP Additional Police Commissioner Mohammad Harun-or-Rashid disclosed the information while talking to the media at his Mintoo Road Office in the capital on Saturday.
The Indian police were investigating the murder of the Bangladesh Awami League lawmaker in India, he said.
He also said that the team of the Detective Branch of police would be headed by him to investigate the killing of Anar, a member of parliament (MP) from Jhenaidah-4 constituency.
A government order (GO) has been issued and they will move to India after getting consent from the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr Harun says.
Replying to a query about the motive behind the killing, Mr Harun replied, "Motives may be multiple such as previous enmity, financial transaction and political reason."
"So, investigation is underway to know the real motive behind the murder."
UNB adds: Replying to another question why police termed it a murder whereas no body was found, Mr Harun said there are so many cases where the body has not been found for years. MP Anar went to Kolkata on May 11 for medical treatment and he remained untraced since May 14.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on May 22 said the MP was brutally killed at a flat in New Town, near Kolkata.
A case was filed on May 22 following the death of MP Anar.
A Dhaka court on Friday granted an 8-day remand to three accused arrested in connection with the murder.
