ME Chowdhury Shamim, president and founder of the Ethics Club Bangladesh Society, said, "We have been celebrating Ethics Day on our own initiative for 13 years. There are more than 200 ethics clubs across the country."

"We've been demanding January 25 as National Ethics Day for long and I am again demanding it."

"The government will not need any additional budget to observe National Ethics Day. If the day is observed across the country, children will get an opportunity to acquire knowledge about morality from the first grade," he added.

'Ethics Club Bangladesh Society' organised 13th Ethics Day discussion and inter-university victory debate festival prize distribution ceremony at the Central Shaheed Minar in the capital on Thursday.
