The Indian government is reportedly considering the option of keeping Assam out of the Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) for now and settling the West Bengal and Meghalaya segments of the Indo-Bangladesh border, according to a report by The Economic Times (ET) of India.

The report also claimed that Dhaka is open to considering such an adjustment if New Delhi feels that is the only way to seal the deal.
