DITF now to end on Feb 4

The duration of the month-long Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) has been extended by four more days on request from the participating businesspeople in the fair, reports BSS.

The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) decided on Sunday to extend the period for four days, director general of EPB Avijit Chowdhury said.

The DITF that began on January 1 at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in Dhaka will now end on February 4 instead of January 31.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the fair on January 1 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital.

There are a total of 589 stalls and pavilions, including 64 premium pavilions, 27 foreign pavilions and eight mini foreign pavilions and also 24 food stalls at the fair venue.

A total of 43 foreign organisations including those from India, Bhutan, Pakistan, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Nepal, Japan, Australia, Germany, Hong Kong and the Arab Emirates are participating in the fair this year.
