DMCH releases 03 plane crash survivors

Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) released on Wednesday three US-Bangla plane crash survivors.

They are Mehedi Hasan, Kamrunnahar Swarna and Sheikh Rashed Rubayet.

A US-Bangla plane crashed in Nepal on March 12, leaving 50 people dead and 22 injured. Among the victims, 26 Bangladeshis were killed and 10 were injured.

Six of the injured Bangladeshis were flown to Bangladesh and were taken to the burn unit of the DMCH and four were taken to Singapore and India for treatment. Sahin Bepari, one of the survivors, died at the DMCH.

"We have conducted a thorough medical check-up today and we found all three to be fit to be discharged. Hence we have issued their release certificate," Dr Samanta Lal Sen, Head of the Burn Unit, told reporters in the afternoon.

The condition of another two -- Almunnahar Anny and Ms Shehrin -- was improving. Anny was suffering from Trauma and Shehrin underwent a surgery.

Both are not yet fit to go home, Dr Sen said.
