DSE stock prices marginally gain

Stock prices on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) gained marginally Monday although the turnover declined.
On Monday's trading session DSE General Index (DGEN), All Shares Price Index (DSI) and DSE-20 Index (DS20) gained by 7.683 points, 7.120 points and 4.669 points to close at 2197.642, 1802.474 and 1880.153 respectively.
The total turnover declined to Tk 1.365 billion from Tk 1.474 billion on the previous day. The total market capitalisation increased to Tk 484.444 billion from Tk 482.847 billion on the previous day.
Out of 213 traded issues, prices of 99 gained, 98 declined and 16 remained unchanged on the day.
BRAC Bank was the turnover leader with traded issues being worth Tk 93.208 million followed by Summit Power with Tk 58.929 million, Square Pharma with Tk 58.481 million, Power Grid with Tk 52.272 million, AB Bank with Tk 51.512 million, Grameen One with Tk 45.188 million, AIMS with Tk 43.246 million, Pubali Bank with Tk 43.147 million, Heidelberg Cement with Tk 42.773 million and IFIC Bank with Tk 39.720 million.
Prices of BRAC Bank rose by 2.62 per cent close to Tk 751.50 each, Summit Power by 1.37 per cent to Tk 958.50, Power Grid by 0.04 per cent to Tk 592.75, AB Bank by 5.67 per cent to Tk 1670.00, Pubali Bank by 3.20 per cent to Tk 789.75 and IFIC Bank by 1.97 per cent to Tk 1680.00.
Prices of Square Pharma declined by 0.16 per cent to Tk 3771.00, Grameen One by 2.49 per cent to Tk 50.90, AIMS by 1.36 per cent to Tk 5.05, Heidelberg Cement by 1.23 per cent to Tk 1282.00 and Saiham Textile by 19.57 per cent to Tk 113.00.
