EC should sit with us, says Bhuiyan

Expelled BNP Secretary General Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan Wednesday said the Election Commission (EC) should invite him and his followers to the electoral reforms dialogue, reports bdnews24.com.
"Those who don't want anything to change in the BNP have been working towards splitting the party apart," Bhuiyan told reporters at his Gulshan home in the city.
"Expelling Ashraf and me from the party without following any constitutional procedure was a blunder which majority of the BNP executive committee members and for which will continue through September, October and November.
Prior to the meeting, M Sakhawat Hossain told reporters: "Lengthy discussions won't be necessary in cases of agreement over certain issues of electoral reforms.
"Our discussion will chiefly focus on such areas where there might be differences of opinion."
The schedule for dialogues with the 15 political parties has been fixed according to Bangla alphabetical order.
Shamsul Huda in a press conference on August 28 announced the date for the start of dialogue on electoral reform with the political parties.
"As per the election roadmap, the Election Commission will hold discussions with the political parties through September, October and November," he said.
