The European Union (EU) has suggested that Bangladesh diversify its product portfolio, as the country currently relies heavily on exporting ready-made garments (RMG).
This suggestion was made during a meeting between the EU visiting mission and Bangladesh's commerce minister, Tipu Munshi, who shared the details with reporters at his secretariat office on Wednesday.
According to Munshi, the EU believes that both Bangladesh and the EU would benefit from greater product diversification, as the country's heavy reliance on RMG is not ideal.
