Faruk, Pranab talk matters of mutual interest

NEW DELHI, Oct 24 (BSS): Commerce Minister Muhammad Faruk Khan, MP, today made a courtesy call on Indian Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee at his residence here.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest including the strengthening of trade ties between the two friendly countries, official sources said.
Mukherjee assured the visiting minister that the joint communique, issued during the August visit of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to Delhi, would be implemented as soon as possible, Indian official sources said.
The elderly politician and senior leader of the alliance government was on a tour abroad. He returned here late last night.
Mukherjee went to Bangladesh to witness the signing of the one-billion-dollar credit line given by Delhi for the infrastructure development in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Tariq A. Karim was also present.
