The final phase of Dhaka's Mouchak-Moghbazar flyover will be inaugurated on October 26, reports bdnews24.com.

The new road will connect neighbourhoods in Razarbagh and Shantinagar to Moghbazar via Mouchak.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the final part of the flyover through video call, said project director Susant Kumar Pal.

"The flyover will open to traffic after it is inaugurated at 12pm Thursday by the honourable prime minister."

"Our work is finished. The roads below the project area have been repaired and coated."

The 8-kilometre flyover with four lanes can be accessed through loops and ramps at Tejgaon's Satrasta, Hotel Sonargaon, Moghbazar, Holy Family Hospital in Ramna, Bangla Motor, Malibagh, Razarbagh Police Lines and Shantinagar intersection.

The section connecting FDC intersection to roads headed towards the Sonargaon Hotel was opened on May 17 this year.

On March 30 last year, the part connecting the neighbourhood around Holy Family Hospital to Tejgaon's Satrasta was inaugurated. Before that, the part connecting Eskaton to Mouchak was opened to public on September 15.

The project's construction went on for six years causing sufferings to commuters and residents of the project areas.
