A fire broke out at a bicycle manufacturing factory of Meghna Group in Sreepur Upazila in Gazipur on Saturday. However, there were no reports of casualties.
"The fire originated at about 1:30 pm and was doused by 3:45 pm," according to the Fire Service and Civil Defence central office. "We've controlled the fire. We are yet to ascertain the cause of it.
We are now assessing the extent of damages caused by the fire," deputy assistant director of Gazipur Fire Service office Md Aktaruzzaman told the FE when the report was filed at 7:30 pm on the day. On information, eight fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and managed to douse the blaze.
