Fire breaks out at Demra ink factory

An incident of fire took place on Thursday at an ink producing factory in the capital's Demra area.

However, there was no report of casualties.

A duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence office told the FE that the incident of fire occurred at the factory named 'Sima Accessories' at around 11:00 am located at Amulia Model Town, Demra in the city.

He said after hearing the incident of fire at around 11:38 am, the fire service  office dispatched two fire fighting units at around 11:55 am.

Later six more fire fighter teams joined the efforts and doused the flame.

The cause of fire and extent of damage due to the fire could be known after investigation, the officer continued.
