Fire breaks out at Kalyanpur slum

A fire broke out at the capital's Kalyanpur slum on Sunday night.
The blaze started around 8:50 pm at the number 9 slum near Notun Bazar, said Md Shahjahan Shikdar, Deputy assistant director (media cell) of Fire Service and Civil Defence, reports UNB.
On information, 10 fire tending units rushed to the spot and were trying to tame the blaze. Four more units were on the way to join the extinguishing operation, he added.
