Five killed as bus crashes head-on into ambulance in Faridpur
The ambulance was headed towards Dhaka, while the BTRC bus was headed to Faridpur

Five people have been killed in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and an ambulance in Faridpur, reports bdnews24.com.
Helal Uddin, chief of Bhanga Highway Police Station, said that the accident occurred on the Dhaka-Barishal Highway near the Shankarpasha Bazar area in Nagarkanda Upazila around 10:45am on Sunday.
Four of the dead have been identified as Md Jahangir Molla, 62, his wife Majeda Begum, 55, his brother Alamgir Hossain Molla, 58, and his wife Khurshid Begum, 48. The family hails from Madaripur Sadar Upazila.
The fifth person killed was ambulance driver Kawsar Matubbar, 25, who also hailed from Madaripur Sadar.
Police and eyewitnesses said that the family from Madaripur were headed to see a doctor in Faridpur when it got in a head-on collision with a BRTC passenger as it was attempting to overtake another vehicle. The crash damaged the ambulance and killed the four members of the same family and the ambulance driver on the spot.
