Foreign Dr AK Abdul Momen on Sunday said that the Gaza siege by the Israeli government has caused human rights violation.
The siege resulted in suspension of supply of food, water and electricity to millions of people which is not acceptable, the minister said while talking to the reporters at the foreign ministry.
He also noted that mass people cannot be tortured and killed for they wrongdoing of a handful of people.
The minister said that the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) will hold a meeting on the Gaza situation on October 18, and he will take part in the meeting on behalf of Bangladesh.
Reiterating the position of the government, the minister said Bangladesh believes that the solution of the Palestine problem lies in the two state solution.
In this connection the minister also pointed out that a section of western countries who are very vocal against human rights violation and advocating for free press are apparently showing partial stances in regards to the Palestine situation.
He said that the Palestinian ambassador in Dhaka, who met him on Sunday, told him that the western media was presenting false picture about the Gaza situation.
