Gold gets dearer

Local jewellers have revised the price of premium-quality gold upwards by Tk 2,741 per bhori (11.664 grams).
The new price of the precious metal will come into effect from today (Friday), says a press release issued by the Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) on Thursday.
Per-bhori 22-carat gold will be sold at Tk 81,298 while 21-carat at Tk 77,565 and 18-carat at Tk 66,484.
On the other hand, the price of traditional gold is Tk 55,170 per bhori.
The previous price of 22-carat per-bhori gold was Tk 78,557 while 21-carat Tk 74,999 and 18-carat Tk 64,268.
