Observing that the government has failed to ensure people's security, Jatiya Party (JP) chairman HM Ershad said Saturday it has no right to stay in power, reports UNB.
"The government has no right to remain in power as it has failed to ensure security of public life and property and good governance," he said while exchanging views with his party leaders of Shariatpur district unit at its Banani office.
Ershad, also the special envoy to the Prime Minister, announced that his party would launch a movement to realise the people's rights, if necessary.
"If necessary, I'll take my party men to the street to expose the failure of the government," he said, adding that their movement will be peaceful.
Govt has no right to stay in power, says Ershad
