Govt raises launch fare

FE REPORT
The government has raised launch fare to Tk 2.95 per kilometre from the previous Tk 2.77 for a travel up to 100 kilometres.
For travel beyond the 100 kilometres the fare has been raised to Tk 2.52 from the previous Tk 2.38 per person.
The lowest launch fare has been raised by Tk 3 to Tk 32 from the previous Tk 29.
The Ministry of Shipping in a circular signed by senior assistant secretary Chandra Paul said that the new fare rates were made effective from May 5.
