The government's supervision of admissions to medical and dental colleges has been challenged in the High Court. A petition by lawyer Younus Ali Akhand filed on Wednesday challenges the government move. It said, according to the Medical and Dental Council law of 2010, the council, not the government, would administer the tests. The petition seeks a rule asking under what authority the government conducts the tests. It also sought an order postponing the admission tests till the matter was resolved, according to a news agency.
