Hasina picked for Dr Kalam Smriti Int'l Excellence Awards

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been chosen for the Dr Kalam Smriti International Excellence Awards-2019, introduced in memory of aerospace scientist and former Indian President APJ Abdul Kalam, reports UNB.

The international award will be handed over to the Prime Minister at a ceremony at her office this (Monday) afternoon, said the Press Wing of the Prime Minister's Office.

The Prime Minister was honoured with the award as recognition of her contribution to establishing historic ties between Bangladesh and India, her dedication to the wellbeing of Bangladeshi people, particularly giving priority to women and children, and her contribution to international peace and cooperation.
