Hearing in Appellate Division today

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court (SC) on Monday upheld a High Court order to keep primary and secondary schools closed during Ramadan.

Justice M Enayetur Rahim, Chamber Judge of the Appellate Division of the SC, passed the order following a petition filed by the state challenging the High Court order.

The Chamber Judge, however, sent the petition to its full bench for a hearing on the matter today.
