Huawei kicks off ICT talent hunt campaign

Huawei, the world's leading ICT solutions provider, has launched its global flagship CSR programme styled as 'Seeds for the future' in Bangladesh, reports UNB.
Zhang Zhengjun, CEO of Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd. inaugurated the campaign at a city hotel on Sunday, with Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar as the chief guest.
'Seeds for the Future' is designed to cultivate more ICT talents in Bangladesh and provide an opportunity for the students to learn ICT.
In the upcoming two months, Huawei will select ten promising students from five noted universities of Bangladesh. Those selected students will get intensive experience in technology and training in the headquarters of Huawei.
At the event, IT Minister Mustafa Jabbar said, "Bangladesh is moving fast towards the 'Vision 2021'. Our youths have significant contribution to the development of the ICT sector. So, we are very much responsible to take care of our youth by nurturing their talent."
Zhang Zhengjun, CEO, Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd. said, "Bangladesh has a large portion of youths who are full of energy and dreams."
In Bangladesh, this programme is being organised every year starting from 2014. This year, Huawei will select students from Dhaka University (DU), Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET), Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) and Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET).
