Interim govt takes rational, time-befitting decisions

Says Fakhrul

FE REPORT | September 09, 2024 00:00:00

BNP secretary-general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that the decisions so far taken by the interim government are rational and time-befitting.

"BNP wants a provision for a caretaker government system and bicameral parliament system in the constitution. We are also in favour of bringing about reforms of organisations, including the Election Commission," he also said.

Mirza Fakhrul made the views while talking to the media at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital after his arrival from Singapore.

The BNP secretary general went to Singapore for his health check-up.

Asked about alleged complaints against some BNP men for their involvement in realising extortion and usurpation Mr Fakhrul replied, "Disinformation was going on much rather than the number of such incidents."
