Interpol issues red notice against Kamrul

The Interpol has issued a red notice against Kamrul Islam, one of the key accused in the murder of minor boy Shamiul Alam Rajon who was beaten to death in Sylhet, reports BSS.
The red notice was issued on the webpage of the Interpol against Kamrul as a wanted criminal. The notice gave details about him along with his photograph.
"Police have already initiated the process to bring back Kamrul, who was arrested in Jeddah of Saudi Arabia, with sending his translated life details to the Interpol seeking issuance of the red notice against the culprit," said a police official. After issuing the red notice, now it was the task of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to bring Kamrul back, he added.
On July 8, some people on suspicion of theft beat Rajan to death, in Kumargaon village under Sylhet Sadar Upazila. A video clip to this end went viral on the Internet, sparking criticism on the social media.
Detective Branch (DB) of police initiated investigation into the beating of Samiul Alam Rajan, 13, to death in Sylhet Sadar Upazila on July 16 following an order of the Sylhet Metropolitan Magis-trate's court. DB inspector Suranjit Talukder was entrusted with the job of investigating the Rajan murder.
