A parliamentary watchdog at a meeting on Tuesday recommended taking legal action against the hajj agencies involved in anomalies and corruption in their hajj management, reports UNB.
The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Religious Affairs Ministry came up with the recommendation from its 6th meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its chairman Bazlul Haque Harun in the chair.
The meeting also greeted Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury and Saber Hossain Chowdhury MP for their being elected as chairperson of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) and as president of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) respectively.
