JS passes Sheikh Hasina University Bill, 2018

The Jatiya Sangsad passed on Sunday the "Sheikh Hasina University Bill, 2018 in an amended form, reports BSS.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid moved the bill in the House.

The bill was passed in the House by voice votes with Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad M Fazley Rabbi Miah in the chair.

Under the proposed bill, the education ministry will take an initiative to establish a university in Netrakona district in light with the announcement made by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
