GAZIPUR, Apr 11 (UNB): Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said Saturday Khaleda Zia has no right to do politics in Bangladesh as she has made the public life miserable through her destructive activities.

"It's her nature to interfere in the public life…she has no right to do politics in the country… she has no right to appear before the people of this country," she said.

The Prime Minister was addressing a civic gathering at Piar Ali Degree College ground in Mawna Bazar area, Gazipur after inaugurating the newly constructed Mawna Flyover.

Sheikh Hasina also urged all to ask Khaleda, wherever she will be found, why did she burn people to death and who gave her the right to kill people. "I want an answer from Khaleda Zia; who did give her the right to burn people alive? She must answer to the people of this country," she said.

Mentioning that her government maintained the country's development activities facing all the odds, she said Bangladesh is moving ahead and will keep on so in the future. "The culprit like Khaleda Zia, the militant leader like Khaleda Zia will never be able to block Bangladesh's advancement," she said.

Reiterating that Bangladesh's soil will not be allowed to carry out terrorist activities, she also blasted BNP-Jamaat nexus for setting fire to buses, trucks and train compartments saying the culprits destroyed hundreds of BRTC double-deckers and articulated buses.

Criticising a section of educated people, including a former university vice chancellor for being with the terrorists, the Prime Minister questioned how they could go with such a leader who killed people by making petrol bomb attacks. "Have these so-called educated people lost their ability of thinking or sold their conscience and wisdom?"

Pointing at the self-confinement of the BNP leader taking 65 party activists with her in her Gulshan Office for long 92 days, Hasina said it is not comprehensible what benefit Khaleda gained by staying there.

She said Khaleda Zia has no respect for court and law of the land as she does not want to abide by court orders.

The Prime Minister questioned now how the BNP leader would appear before the people of country as she has failed on all fronts despite killing around nearly 150 innocent people in the name of movement.

In her speech, Hasina also listed various development projects which her government implemented across the country during the last six years, including the construction of many big bridges and roads and highways.

She said the inauguration of the newly constructed Mawna Flyover has ushered in a new horizon in the region as it will ease vehicle movements and develop communication networks across greater Dhaka-Mymensingh highways alongside adjacent areas of Gazipur.
