Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury has described the proposed budget for the fiscal year 2022-23 as time-befitting and said that it could cope with the present challenges.
He came up with the comments in the Jatiya Sangsad on Tuesday night (June 21) while participating in the general discussion on the proposed budget for the fiscal year (FY) 2022-23.
He said that the Corona pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war shook the entire world.
Prices of all products, including fuel, went up abnormally. Even in developed countries, inflation hit double-digit figures, he said.
"But we (Bangladesh) are still in a much better position than that in consideration of the inflation situation," he said.
He called upon everyone to move the country forward being imbued with the spirit of patriotism, according to the MoL.
