The government has launched a hotline service to provide legal information to Bangladeshi expatriates, reports UNB.
Law Minister Anisul Huq inaugurated the hotline service launched by the National Legal Aid Services Organisation at a programme at Srama Bhaban near Dainik Bangla crossing in the city on Thursday.
The hotline numbers are 01799090011 and 01799090022.
Any Bangladeshi can avail the legal information service by dialling the numbers from any country across the globe, said a PID handout.
Speaking on the occasion, the Law Minister said it is the responsibility of the government to provide legal assistance to expatriates and their families living in the country.
He noted that the Bangladeshi expatriates face exploitation as they do not have any proper idea about their rights.
