Madaripur road crash kills 6

MADARIPUR, July 13 (UNB):  At least six people were killed and 35 others injured in a road accident near Ghatakchar Bazar in Sadar upazila on Sunday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.  Madaripur Police Super Khandakar Faridul Islam said the accident took place around 12:30 pm when a Dhaka-bound bus of 'Sugandha Paribahan' from Barguna crashed into a tree as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving six passengers killed on the spot and 35 others injured.

The injured were rushed to Sadar hospital, he said.

The death toll may rise, the SP added.
