Man held for harassing women in Cox's Bazar

Police arrested a man in connection with harassing and assaulting tourist women in Cox's Bazar sea beach, reports BSS.

The arrested was identified as Md Farukul Islam, 22, of KSM Villa at Baharchhara village of Cox's Bazar Sadar thana, said a press release of the police headquarters today.

A video on harassing and assaulting tourist women on sea beach in Cox's Bazar by few youths went viral on social media. Police noticed the issue which drew huge flak, and identified Farukul Islam through the video footage.

Acting on a tip-off, Cox's Bazar district police conducted a drive on Friday night and arrested Farukul from Kalur Dokan area in the Cox's Bazar sadar thana.
