A young man has been shot dead and four others wounded in a clash between two rival groups fighting over turf in Narsingdi's Raipura Upazila.
The incident has left the area on edge, reports bdnews24.com.
The clash broke out in Dorigaon village of Nilakhya Union on Tuesday morning, Additional Superintendent of Police Sujan Chandra Sarker said.
The victim, identified only as Anik, 20, was from Dorigaon Purbo Para village.
Police and witnesses said the root of the latest bloodshed dates back to Dec 8, 2025, when a migrant worker, identified with single name as Mamun, a supporter of the local "Mister Group", was shot dead during a clash with followers of a local union council member Joba Member.
