The nation will recall the black night of March 25 today (Thursday), the night on which in 1971 the barbarous Pakistani occupation forces launched a cowardly attack on the unarmed Bangalees, reports BSS.
To implement their heinous blueprint, the Pakistani military junta in the guise of a mock dialogue had resorted to mass killings in Dhaka city, the then provincial capital of East Pakistan, to negate the election mandate of 1970.
The Pakistani army, in their dreadful operation dubbed as `Operation Searchlight', mercilessly killed the Bangalee members of EPR (East Pakistan Rifles) and police and students and teachers as well as thousands of people in Dhaka city on that black night.
