Meet to review outcome of BDF talks Sunday

A high-level meeting to be held at the NEC conference room here on Sunday, will review the outcome of last year's Bangladesh Development Forum (BDF) negotiations, reports BSS.
The meeting titled 'How to work more effectively together to deliver real development outcome' would review the progress on agreed action points at BDF through discussions with development partners, according to a finance ministry source.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Planning Minister Air Vice-Marshal (retd) AK Khandaker, Prime Minister's Economic Affairs Adviser Dr Moshiur Rahman, representatives from development organizations and concerned secretaries would attend the meeting.
The objective of holding the meeting is to review government's long-term plan to attain middle-income status by 2021 under 'Vision 2021' and formulate an outline of sixth Five-Year Plan, the source added.
Besides, the participants would propose reform and delivery priorities in financial sector, it said. The finance minister would brief journalists after the meeting.
