Meghna launch capsize death toll jumps to 54

MUNSHIGANJ, May 17 (UNB): The death toll in Thursday's launch capsize in the Meghna river in Gazaria upazila climbed to 54 with the recovery of 23 more bodies Saturday.
The sunken launch 'MV Miraj-4' was salvaged and taken to the bank of the river.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the district Md Saiful Hasan Badal announced an end to the launch salvage operation at a press briefing.
