Today (Wednesday) is the seventh death anniversary of Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, who was a renowned businessman, politician and philanthropist.
He died on August 18, 2014.
Mosharraf Hossain was a member of parliament from Feni-3 constituency for three consecutive terms.
He was the chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, and also an adviser to BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
He was also presidents of BGMEA and BAIRA, and sponsor and director of the International Publications Limited (IPL) - the owning company of the country's first financial English daily The Financial Express.
He was also founder director of the Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited, chairman of the Greater Noakhali Samity in Dhaka, and managing director of the manpower-export company Bay Eastern Limited.
His relatives, friends and former colleagues have requested all to pray for salvation of his departed soul.
