Mrs. Hasina Mamtaz, mother of chairman of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Prof Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam, passed away on Saturday at the age of 79. (Inna Lillahi Wa-Inna Ilaihi Rajiun).
A spokesperson for the securities regulator said Mrs. Mamtaz breathed her last following a cardiac arrest.
A namaz-e-janaza for her will be held today after the Zuhr prayer at Dhanmondi Shahi Eidgah Masjid in the capital.
The DSE Brokers Association, the Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association (BMBA), BSEC top officials and other stakeholders have expressed profound sorrow at the death of Hasina Mamtaz and also conveyed sympathy to her bereaved family.
