MoU inked with JICA for HSIA third terminal

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on Wednesday to build third terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA).
Civil aviation and tourism ministry and the JICA fact-finding mission inked the MoU at the secretariat.
Tourism secretary Mohibul Haque and JICA deputy director Chie Miyahara signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
State minister for civil aviation and tourism Mahbub Ali and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) chairman Air Vice-Marshal Mofidur Rahman were present at the MoU-signing ceremony.
As per the agreement, JICA will provide the total fund for constructing the terminal under the airport expansion project.
