The High Court (HC) on Tuesday issued a contempt-of-court rule against National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman for not complying with its order.
In the rule, the HC asked the respondents to explain within four weeks as to why punitive action should not be initiated against the NBR chairman for contempt of court.
An HC bench comprising Justice J B M Hassan and Justice Razik-Al-Jalil passed the order after hearing a contempt-of-court petition.
