NBR chief's tenure extended for another two years

Contractual appointment of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman and Senior Secretary of Internal Resource Division (IRD), Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem, has been extended for another two years.

The Ministry of Public Administration (MoPA) on Wednesday issued a circular, signed by Joint Secretary Dr Ashraful Alam, to this effect.

The current two-year tenure of Mr Muneem is scheduled to expire on January 6, 2024. This is the third time he got the extension as NBR chief and IRD Senior Secretary, the first in NBR history.
