NBR starts pre-budget discussion

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) today (Sunday) starts its month-long discussion with various stakeholders on the budget for 2011-2012 fiscal. On the first day, the NBR officials will meet with the agriculture and poultry sector entrepreneurs. The pre-budget discussion will continue until March 29. The NBR will hold a series of meetings with entrepreneurs and businessmen of 60 sectors. The budget coordination committee has arranged pre-budget discussions with automobiles and transport sector on February 28, readymade garments, knitwear, composite and packaging sector on March 1, brick, sand, sanitary, ceramics and hardware sectors on March 1, rubber and plastic sector on March 2, hotel, restaurant and guest house sector on March 3, export without bond facility sector on March 3, oil, gas and tobacco sectors on March 8, computer ICT and telecommunication sectors on March 8, electronics and electrical sector on March 9, jute, textile and yarn sector on March 13, pharmaceuticals sector on March 14, paper and printing sector on March 22, chemicals, toiletries, leather, jewelry sectors on March 22, small and large industries sector on March 28, small and medium organisation and financial institutions sector on March 28, clearing and forwarding association, freight forwarders, tax lawyers and indenters on March 29.
