The National Board of Revenue (NBR), in a board meeting Sunday, decided to file three more tax evasion cases against politicians and former members of parliament (MPs).
The board will file cases against former state minister for civil aviation and tourism Mir Nasir, his son Mir Helal and former deputy minister for land Ruhul Kuddus Dulu.
The NBR recently filed cases against former AL-state minister Obaidul Kader and his wife Isratunessa.
The board is filing cases against those who have concealed large volume of income and submitted wrong statistics in an intention to evade tax.
Sources concerned said several bigwigs are on the list of the board, against whom cases will be filed for tax evasion.
The board started filing of such case on May 23 against tax evasion with former BNP lawmaker Ali Asgar Lobi.
