New organogram for ACC approved

The government Sunday approved a new organogram of 1,281 staffers for the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), an official said, reports bdnews24.com.
The organogram was approved at a meeting of the National Implementation Committee for Administrative Reforms (NICAR) at the Chief Adviser's Office.
ACC Secretary Mokhles Ur Rahman said, "Now the rules for appointment will be formulated.
After the rules are made, the commission will make appointments to different posts."
Rahman said the new organogram sees a rise in the number of staffers to 1,281 from 462.
It includes six posts of director general - in charge of as many sections such as legal and prosecution; administration, establishment and finance; investigation and probe; special investigation and probe; research, review, prevention and public awareness; and unsettled matters and inspection.
In line with the new organogram, there are 19 posts of director, one systems analyst, 81 deputy directors, 10 prosecutors, 133 assistant prosecutors, one public relations officer, 124 sub-assistant directors, 21 public court inspectors, 130 assistant inspectors.
The organogram has a provision for six divisional offices and 22 district offices.
The district offices are: Dhaka 1 and 2, Mymensingh, Tangail, Faridpur, Chittagong 1 and 2, Noakhali, Comilla, Rangamati, Rajshahi, Bogra, Pabna, Rangpur, Dinajpur, Khulna, Jessore, Kushtia, Barisal, Patuakhali, Sylhet and Habiganj.
The ACC was formed in 2004 after abolishing the Bureau of Anticorruption.
The new commission was formed with former army chief Hasan Mashhud Chowdhury as its chairman in February, after the military-backed government assumed power.
