The government has decided to change the uniforms worn by the police, the RAB, and the Ansar.

The government has decided to change the uniforms worn by the police, RAB, and the Ansar in the face of widespread criticism for their handling of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement protests, report agencies.
The police will now wear iron uniforms, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel will green olive and Ansar will be dressed in golden wheat, he added.
Home Advisor Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said the decision had been finalised at an advisory council meeting on law enforcement on Monday.
Jahangir spoke to the media after the meeting.
"The decision to change the uniform for the police, the RAB and the Ansar, has been taken. These three have been selected. It will be implemented gradually. It cannot be done all at once."
"Along with the uniform, everyone has to change their mindset." said the advisor.
Responding to questions from reporters, the Security Adviser assured that the uniform transition would not lead to any major financial strain. "There will be no significant budgetary issues in implementing these changes."
The decision is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the image and functionality of Bangladesh's law enforcement agencies, officials said.
