NGO official found dead at his residence

FE Report A finance director of a non-governmental organisation (NGO) was found dead in the bedroom of his Green Road residence in the capital Thursday, police said. The deceased was identified as Abul Kashem (48), finance director of an NGO named RDF housed at road-12 in the city's Adabor area. Officer-in-Charge of Kalabagan Police Station Enamul Haque told the FE that after being informed they recovered the body of Kashem at about 10:00am and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy. He said the reason behind the death could not be known immediately. It will be ascertained on receipt of the postmortem report. "Sign of scratch was found on the neck of the deceased," he added. However, family members claimed the death natural. Fatema Kawser, wife of the victim, told the reporters that he was sick and was vomiting last night. Kashem and his family were residing on the first floor of Suvastu Tower, a high-rise building in the Green Road area.
