No Covid death as 51 more test positive

Bangladesh reported zero Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours ending on Saturday morning with 51 new cases recorded against 27 a day ago.
However, 47 out of the 51 positive cases were detected in Dhaka and the rest were found in Chattogram (2), Sherpur (1) and Patuakhali (1).
A total of 3,994 samples were tested throughout the country in the 24 hours until 8:00am on the day with a positivity rate of 1.28 per cent, according to the daily update by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Some 4,193 samples were tested on Friday to find a positivity rate of 0.64 per cent.
With the latest figures of Saturday, the total positive cases in the country stood at 1,952,275 and the fatalities at 29,124.
On the other hand, 252 more people recovered from the viral disease taking the total recovery count to 1,890,516, DGHS data showed.
The current recovery rate stands at 96.8 per cent and the overall mortality rate at 1.49 per cent.
