Nur\\\'s \\\'girl friend\\\' Nila on 3-day remand

NARAYANGANJ, May 26 (UNB): A court here Monday granted three-day remand to Narayanganj City Corporation female councillor Jannatul Ferdous Nila, said to be a 'girlfriend' of councillor Nur Hossain, the prime accused in the much-talked seven murder case, in connection with a youth killing case.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Jabid Hossain granted the three-day remand after police produced Nila before the court.

District police sources said a team of police arrested Nila from her Siddhirganj residence early this (Monday) morning in connection with the killing of Jewel.

Jewel was killed by miscreants in Jalkuri area of Siddhirganj Police Station in 2013.

Earlier, on May 18, the detectives detained Nila for interrogation while she was returning to Siddhirganj by a microbus from the Circuit House after taking part in a mass hearing in the seven murder case.

Later, she was released after interrogation.
