Oil train’s cars fall off a bridge in Chittagong

Two cars of a train carrying oil have fallen off a bridge at Boalkhali in Chittagong after it collapsed. Bangladesh Railways General Manager (East) Mozammel Haque said they sent rescuers to the scene after getting information about the accident around 1:30pm Friday, reports bdnews24.com.
The furnace oil was headed for the 100-megawatt peaking power plant at Dohazari from Chittagong. The incident occurred on the bridge-24 between Gomdandi and Dhalghat.
Gomdandi Station Master Abu Zafar said the bridge collapsed after the engine crossed it. The train had eight tank cars.
