One lynched in city

One person was lynched by a mob at Lalbagh in the capital on Monday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Swapan, 35, son of Lt Motaleb, a resident of Munshir Hat of the city's Kamnangirchar area.

Police said local people caught Swapan from a house in the Rashulbagh School area in the early morning and beat him indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured.

On information on phone his relatives rescued him and took him to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
