One lynched in city, another mistakenly in Laxmipur

An alleged mugger was killed in a lynch-mob attack in the city's Wari area on Sunday morning, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Sajjadur Rahman Robin, 25, son of Saifur Rahman Liton of Bhajhari Saha Street in Wari.
Police said when a gang of muggers were trying to snatch money from a Bkash agent in the area around 11 am local people chased them and caught Robin.
They gave him a good beating and then handed him over to police.
Police admitted him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead around 12:25pm.
Inspector Mozzamel, in-charge of DMCH, confirmed the incident.
Another report from Laxmipur adds: A teenage boy was killed and his elder brother injured in a mob attack on Raipur-Ramganj road in Panpara area of Raipur upazila early Sunday as they were mistaken to be muggers.
The deceased was identified as Shipon, student of class IX in a local madrasa and son of Shamsul Islam of Keroa village of the upazila.
Police and local sources said Shipon and his elder brother Al Amin, an army man, were mistaken to be muggers and caught by a group of villagers while they were returning home from Raipur Bazar on Saturday night.
